Acting Auditions – Part 2: What Does the Director Want?!

Actors are constantly worrying about what is going on in the mind of the director at the audition…they shouldn't.

There are certain aspects of the audition process that actors control and certain aspects that they can't control. Unfortunately, most actors skip over the areas that they have any power over and spend all their time fretting over the things they are powerless to manage. A favorite example of this tendency is the obsession with, "What does the Director want?!" To further illustrate this problem, here is a short show business anecdote.

[Phoenix Actors Forum] Reminder: Sat July 11 is Misti Wagner's seminar on starting out in the Business!



You don't have to be a beginner to benefit from these back-to-basics lessons for actors-in-training. Misti Wagner of Dani's Agency hosts a seminar on getting started in the acting field. Some of the topics she'll be covering include:

Unfortunately was no one movie script, where would be visualized this point - life's aspect..:)

Also.. There would be the perfect training system for the extremal extension of perceptions possibilities...

P.S. "THE GOD" USUALLY IS an extremal opinion "in the sound". Sometimes it is - - the maximum of self-respect in the sound. A such using is impossible "to destroy".

[Phoenix Actors Forum] Southwest Shakespeare Company Seeks Stage Manager



Southwest Shakespeare Company is located in Mesa, Arizona and they are looking for a LOCAL Stage Manager for their upcoming show Comedy of Errors that starts rehearsals beginning of August. It is a LORT D Equity contract (though you do not have to be a member of Equity to work the contract) and the job has the possibility of turning into a season long Production Stage Manager contract.
